QuickBooks error H505 generally happens when any of the workstations is set to be the server to host the company file over the multi-user network. It appears on the desktop screen with an error message stating, “This company file is on another computer, and QuickBooks needs some help connecting.” Down below, we have mentioned the steps that you need to follow to debug this error safely:
 Run QuickBooks Desktop on your workstation.  Head to the File menu (given at the top bar) instead of opening your company file.  From the given options, pick Utilities.  Pick the Stop Hosting Multi-User Access option.  If you spot Host Multi-User Access as an option there, don’t pick it.  Repeat the above steps in the same sequence on the rest of the workstations.  Run QuickBooks Desktop on your server computer.  Navigate to the File menu (located at the top bar).  Click Utilities in the list of options.  Pick the Host Multi-User Access option.  If you spot Stop Hosting Multi-User Access as an option there, don’t pick it. We hope you are able to resolve QuickBooks error H505 by applying the steps mentioned above. If not, then you can ask for extra support removing it by contacting the team of QuickBooks experts.

QuickBooks error 6189 816 pops up on the computer screen with the description reading, “An error occurred when QuickBooks tried to access the company file.” Usually, it takes place when the processes running on the computer’s background interfere with the QuickBooks Desktop’s functioning. Below, we have stated all the instructions that you need to implement to get rid of this error:
 Exit QuickBooks Desktop at first.  On Intuit’s site, find QuickBooks Tool Hub of the latest version (1.5.0.0) and download it. Note: It is suggested to save the downloaded installer (QuickBooksToolHub.exe) on the Windows Desktop.
 Click twice QuickBooksToolHub.exe and go through the on-screen directions.  Accept the user’s agreement to install QuickBooks Tool Hub.  Click twice the icon of QuickBooks Tool Hub.  Head to the Program Problems tab.  Locate the Quick Fix my Program option and select it.  Let the tool run.  At last, open QuickBooks Desktop and see if you can modify the company file this time. Even after going through the instructions described earlier, if you can’t get over QuickBooks error 6189 816, then you should get extra support fixing it by contacting the QuickBooks technical team.
