ability to find session without updating last_request_at
Reported by Brian Lopez | April 28th, 2009 @ 08:04 PM
Hey Ben, Was just wondering what the possibility was of being able to find a session without updating the last_request_at field?
My use case is that we have a JS function hit the server every 60 seconds to see how much time is left in their current session. Up until now we've been manually handling the last_request_at in the authenticated users session (which is using the cookie store in Rails), but are in the process of trying to migrate to authlogic which uses this field in the database.
If we could prevent UserSession.find from updating last_request_at for a single controller action, that would be enough.
