User migration should create index on persistence_token

Reported by Loren | April 3rd, 2009 @ 02:29 PM

When the User table is created, you may want to consider adding an index on persistence_token in the same migration. Without the index, I believe you'll end up doing a table scan on every page load.

Thats entirely up to you since you are the one that generates that. More importantly, the user id is stored in teh session. So as the session is being persisted it is using the id to find the record. The only time the pesistence_token is used to locate a record is during the first request using their cookie. After that, the session is created and it uses the id from there.

That is altogether up to you since you are the one that creates that. All the more imperatively, the client id is put away in the session. So as the session is being held on it is utilizing the id to discover the record. The main time the persistence_token is utilized to find a record is amid the principal ask for utilizing their treat. From that point onward, the session is made and it utilizes the id from that point.
