Hey Ben,
I just made a few commits on my fork fixing a few gripes I had with Authlogic. I don't want to create separate tickets/patches for each one of them, but you might want to check them out on github: http://github.com/thedarkone/authlogic

I actually prefer forking and making the changed, its much easier for everyone.
