Reported by Georg Ledermann | November 21st, 2008 @ 08:49 AM
Regarding this commit: http://github.com/binarylogic/au...
Using the SimpleDelegator for AbstractAdapter slows down the Rails application a lot, by 3 times in my tests.

Just run the controller tests/specs of an application which uses authlogic or just reload the page in development mode and look at reqs/sec. Compare the needed time before the specified commit and after it.

I thought I was cool implementing the simple delegator class too. I'll change it back. I'm probably going to release a small update today anyways.

No problem, thanks for letting me know about this. I'm just surprised that simple delegator is slow. How complicated can that get? I would assume it's just setting up a method_missing and a way to retrieve and set the object.
